Where to Eat... |
|
Breakfast |
I and my friends had breakfast at The Blue Dolphin Cafe. It's nicely located on historic St. Armands Circle in Sarasota and near Long Boar Key. It's an intimate cafe open daily for breakfast and lunch. The yogurt fresh fruit cup for $6.50 is healthy and yummy. The Blue Dolphin Omelets, served with sausage, green onions, tomato and sour cream is of great value and taste at $8.95. |
Lunch |
We found this restaurant at 10th St., Sarasota named Maximillian's cafe. I must say their California Cobb worth $6.75 is very reasonably priced and so satisfying. It's a meal of organic spring mix, Romaine and Iceberg lettuce, green pepper, tomato, sliced olives, avocado, hard boiled egg, smoked bacon, grilled chicken and blue cheese dressing. The Fresh Bakery Sandwich is also a good stomach treat at $5.45. |
Dinner |
We had dinner at The Golden Apple Dinner Theatre. No question, their carved prime roast beef and roast loin of pork are tender and tasty. They have a salad bar of around 20 items and 3 desserts. I will definitely go back to The Golden Apple Dinner Theatre for their food and great theatre performance. |
What to Do... |
|
Morning |
My friends and I went to St. Armands Circle after breakfast. St. Armands has it all! It's a shopping and dining haven in one. We shopped and window shopped at some of the stores in St. Armands such as Circle Books, Casa Smeralda and St. Armands Gifts and Winery. But the one I truly loved was FantaSea Seashells. I bought tons of products including Sea Garden Bath Oil, Bubble Bath, Cream and some home decors. I loved the small jungle starfish and mermaid swimming ornament. |
Afternoon |
We went to Van Wezel Performing Arts Hall and joined their guided tour. We saw the different art collections of the Fine Arts Society at Van Wezel Performing Arts Hall. There are also sculptures of Florida's greatest artists alongside the paintings. We also saw some of the equipments used at the working backstage including the pulleys, movable orchestra pit and hydraulic lifts to name a few. |
Evening |
Lastly, we watched a good performance at The Golden Apple Dinner Theatre. It's a horseshoe-shaped theatre. After the sumptuous buffet style dinner, the “Magic Carpet” stage was set. The rest is history. We were delighted with by the musical we watched. |
