My Perfect Weekend... |

| If you ever want to get away from the cold north during winter and having trouble deciding where to go, I recommend spending the weekend in Sarasota, Florida. I recently took the wife and kids there for a long weekend and they absolutely loved it. We stayed at the beautiful Hilton Longboat Key Beachfront Resort which was right on the beach just across from Sarasota. The family and I spent most of the time on the resort enjoying the beautiful beach on the Gulf of Mexico. My wife however slipped out a couple of times to go do some shopping in the Sarasota area, which was fine by me as long as I got to stay and relax. We occasionally left the resort to go dine in the local area restaurants, my favorite being this delicious steakhouse called Hyde Park Prime Steakhouse. Additionally, we spent our last day heading over to Bush Gardens Tampa for the kids which they absolutely enjoyed. |
